About SLIPKNOT

How it’s made

SLIPKNOT No. 9 Iowa Whiskey is a blend. This means that it is made from different whiskeys. It combines a bourbon and a rye, which are reminiscent of whiskeys from Kentucky. However, it was distilled at the Cedar Ridge Distillery in Iowa, which is also the home state of the band from the capital Des Moines. The focus of this blend is on local corn, which is grown on the distillery’s family farm. This is used in the bourbon, while the rye it contains focuses on rye. The blend, which is combined to create SLIPKNOT No. 9 Iowa Whiskey, is also allowed to mature for a few years in American oak barrels before bottling.

The taste

Don’t be fooled! SLIPKNOT No. 9 Iowa Whiskey is much more than just a fan article. The collaboration between the band and the distillery has created a high-quality blend with a powerful, deep and spicy character. The whiskey envelops the nose with seductive notes of warm butter, spices such as cinnamon and an unmistakable hint of oak. The taste is sweet and spicy at the same time – accompanied by a fine fruity note that also lingers in the long finish.

About SLIPKNOT

SLIPKNOT were founded back in 1995 and quickly found favor in the metal scene due to their aggressive style and extraordinary stage shows. The musicians, who always appear in horror masks in pictures, on stage and in videos, were part of the nu-metal wave from the very beginning and quickly became one of the most sought-after bands in the genre. Their breakthrough came with their second album “Iowa” (2001). SLIPKNOT can now look back on six studio albums, numerous world tours and countless awards. Their own festival, Knotfest, will also take place in Germany for the first time in 2022. Their seventh album “The End, So Far” is also released in the same year.
