The Glasgow MALT RIOT blended malt Scotch whisky is a tribute to Glasgow’s rebellious history and the resilience of its inhabitants. Inspired by the Malt Riots of 1725, when the city’s population protested against the introduction of a tax on malted barley, this whisky combines tradition and modern craftsmanship.

Produced by the Glasgow Distillery, originally founded in Glasgow 1770 and revitalised in 2013, this blended malt is a blend of the Glasgow Distillery’s single malt and other carefully selected Scottish single malts. The result is a smooth, well-balanced whisky with fruity and spicy notes that will appeal to beginners and experienced connoisseurs alike.

With an alcohol content of 40 % vol., MALT RIOT offers an accessible yet complex flavour profile that comes into its own on its own, on ice or in cocktails.
