The production process of 818 Tequila Añejo is characterised by a combination of traditional methods and careful attention to detail. The process begins with the experienced jimadores of the tequila region, who specifically select agaves that have reached a minimum ripening period of seven years. After carefully cooking these agaves for up to 40 hours, the juice is extracted using traditional tahonas, the large stone mills known for this method.

The subsequent 70-hour fermentation and double distillation in pot stills intensifies the flavours. Maturation in white oak barrels gives the tequila its characteristic, smooth vanilla flavour before it is bottled worldwide.

Behind the 818 Tequila is the US model Kendall Jenner, who has repeatedly been recognised as the world’s highest-paid model since 2017. The name “818” is a tribute to the postcode of her home in Calabasas, California, and reflects Jenner’s personal connection and passion for this tequila.
