Description
The Douglas Laing PROVENANCE Coastal Collection Caol Ila 8 Years Old 2012 46% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is a bottling with a strong character from the renowned Provenance series of the independent bottler Douglas Laing. This series stands for single cask Scotch whisky that is bottled without chill filtration and without colouring in order to preserve the original character of the respective distillery as unadulterated as possible. The Caol Ila single malt Scotch whisky presented here comes from the famous Islay distillery Caol Ila and is part of the maritime-influenced Coastal Collection, which combines whiskies from distilleries close to the coast.
Distilled in 2012 and bottled after 8 years of maturation, this Islay single malt matured in a carefully selected cask, which gives the whisky its balance of smoke, maritime nuances and subtle sweetness. At 46% vol., the whisky is presented at a particularly aromatic drinking strength. Douglas Laing’s philosophy is to emphasise the authentic character of the distillery, which is why this single malt Scotch whisky is bottled without chill filtration and without the addition of colouring. The bottling is presented in an elegant gift box (GB), which emphasises the collector’s and connoisseur’s value of this Provenance Single Cask Edition.
