This whisky is the result of a careful marriage of two types of whisky: a single malt that has matured in a refill bourbon cask and a grain whisky that has rested in sherry butts for an unspecified period of time.

The choice of refill bourbon cask for the single malt contributes to the development of a subtle, slightly vanilla and sweet profile created by the slow action of the wood. This forms a perfect foundation for the more intense, richer flavours of the grain whisky, which has developed a deeper, fruitier and spicier note in the sherry butts.
