The Springbank 100° Proof 5 Years Old Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an outstanding example of traditional Scottish craftsmanship that is rarely found today. Produced at the legendary Springbank Distillery – one of the last three active distilleries in Campbeltown, the former centre of Scotch whisky production – this whisky embodies the original, unadulterated style of the region.

Springbank 100° Proof is matured for five years in selected bourbon casks, which give it its warm, sweet and spicy structure. As with all of the distillery’s bottlings, the malt was gently dried in traditional kilns over peat smoke and then distilled two and a half times – a special process that gives Springbank’s whiskies their distinctive character. Bottled at 100 proof, which corresponds to 57.1% vol., this single malt is full strength, non-chill-filtered and colourless – in keeping with the authentic Campbeltown whisky tradition.

Tasting NoteColour: Light gold with a slight amber reflection.

Nose: Fresh, malty and maritime with notes of vanilla, peat smoke, lemon peel and sweet wood.

Taste: Full-bodied, powerful and creamy with flavours of honey, oak, vanilla, spices, citrus and a fine smoky spiciness.

Finish: Langs, spicy and slightly salty with a hint of peat and sweet malt.

The Springbank 100° Proof 5 Years Old unfolds its powerful profile neat or with a drop of water, allowing its fruity and smoky notes to open up perfectly. It is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meat, smoked salmon or spicy hard cheese. It also offers a harmonious interplay of sweetness, spice and smoke with dark chocolate with a high cocoa content or caramelised nuts.
