With the Madeira Cask Finish, Woodford Reserve dedicates itself to a maturation method that is rarely found in the American whiskey world. After initial storage in freshly burnt American white oak barrels, the bourbon is transferred to selected Madeira wine barrels to receive its finish. This post-maturing gives the whiskey additional depth, fruity complexity and an elegant sweetness – characterised by the influence of the fortified wine from the Portuguese island of Madeira.

With an alcohol content of 45.2 % vol., this bourbon is powerful and at the same time pleasantly accessible.
